January - February Series Overview

GOSPEL IDEA: Jesus Cares for Everyone

MEMORY VERSE: [Jesus] said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children." Mark 10:14b NLT

WEEK 1:
Bible Story: Jesus Calls the Disciples (Luke 5)
Overview: Your kid learned that Jesus called Simon and his friends to follow Him. They made fish on a line to help remind them that they can follow Jesus too or they spent time praying over others to practice following Jesus. 

WEEK 2:
Bible Story: Jesus and the Woman at the Well (John 4)
Overview: Your kid learned that God sent Jesus to a rejected woman from a rejected group of people to bring them hope that God had not rejected them. They spent time thinking about others who need to hear the good news that Jesus offers them and made reminders to share that good news.

WEEK 3:
Bible Story: Jesus and the Children (Mark 10) 
Overview: Your kid learned that Jesus stopped His disciples from keeping children away from Him and blessed the children. They made reminders of how special they are to Jesus.

WEEK 4:
Bible Story: Jesus and Zacchaeus (Luke 19)
Overview: Your kid learned that Jesus spent time with Zacchaeus, a man that others didn’t want to associate with. They spent time in prayer, and they are taking home someone else’s prayer so they can pray for that person during the week.

WEEK 5:
Bible Story: Jesus and the People with Leprosy (Luke 17) 
Overview: Your kid learned that Jesus healed ten sick men, and one of the men realized how amazing God is and came back to thank and praise Him for what He had done. Your kid spent time thanking Jesus for caring for them. 

WEEK 6:
Bible Story: Nicodemus Visits Jesus (John 3) 
Overview: Your kid learned that God sent Jesus to be the One everyone can look to for new life. They spent time reflecting on their life with Jesus.
