Sometimes understanding God, Jesus, and the world can feel like an overwhelming task. Where should I start? What if I have some big questions? This Kingdom Step has you covered… Together we will get curious and “Discover” God’s Kingdom.
Hello!
Have your group spend a few minutes getting to know one another. Ask them their name and maybe some of the questions below (make sure you participate too):
Would you rather carve a pumpkin or eat turkey?
What's your favorite thing about Fall?
What's the coolest piece of armor out there?
If you are stranded on an island and can only take one thing, what are you taking?
2. Take a moment to ask kids why they are at Kingdom Steps. “Because my mom made me…” is a completely acceptable answer!
Look Closer.
Have kids write down 2-3 questions or thoughts they have about yourself, prayer, the future, the Bible, bad people, death, Jesus, Heaven, etc.
If they need help, ask some of these questions
What is something that keeps you up at night?
If you could change anything in the world right now, what would it be?
If Jesus was in the room right now, what would you ask Him?
Read Matthew 7:7-12 if you have time. Focus needs to be on the questions.
Let’s Do It!
How much armor do we put on?
How often do we put on God's armor?
Why do we put on God's armor?
Which part of the armor did you learn more about today?
When asking your questions, is there any armor you can put on when asking them?
Spend some time telling God about the questions they wrote earlier.
